Three Strands
This past week has given me such a beautiful chance to witness the STRENGTH and POWER of being in unity with God and his GREAT love. My husband and I were not able to travel on the most recent mission trip and so we’ve had a lot of precious time to reflect and pray over Hills of His Grace. We were able to truly watch and listen and gain a whole new appreciation for this truth from scripture. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12 Whether it is a friendship, marriage, business partnership, or another endeavor, we are more united and in agreement when the Holy Spirit is indwelling in us and part of our three cord strand. When conflict arises, instead of turning away, we lean into God, listen, and ask Him to help bring reconciliation. When decisions need to be made, we rest in knowing He will design the perfect plan of action. He will prove time and time again to be the STRENGTH and POWER that holds us together.
This week I saw this three cord strand in action! Together they weathered tropical storm Laura, loved others unconditionally, pointed others to Christ, and left everyone they met a little better than before. This three cord strand had God at the forefront and HOHG US and HOHG Haiti as the second and third strand. Unity is what I witnessed in decisions being made and relationships being formed.
HOHG thrives because of this three cord strand. This partnership with our Heavenly Father and the community in Pignon, Haiti is stronger than ever before. We thank you for your continued prayers and partnership in this three cord strand.
